About This Event
The Day of History on Sunday May 31st on the grounds of the Tenney Gatehouse at Greycourt State Park runs from 10-3. Learn from Civil War and WWII reenactors about Methuen's role in our nation's story. Participate in hands-on activities for all ages including learning about spinning wheels and looms, reading and writing colonial script and more. Victory gardens grown by residents during the World Wars will be explored. Several of Methuen's most historic family businesses, Mann Orchards and Thwaites' Market, will be on hand while CJ Poole plays music from 11-1. Catch a bite before or after your bus tour of downtown Methuen. Be sure to stop at the Nevins Memorial Library for tours and Five Corners where the Methuen Rail Trail folks will be waiting to show you a piece of Methuen you may have never seen!
