The Rise of the Merrimack Valley Minute Men
Event CompletedBefore One If By Land, Two If By Sea. Join Author and Historian Alexander Cain as he delves into the formation of the Massachusetts militia and the minute-man system just before the battles of Lexington and Concord. The Massachusetts Provincial Congress instructed towns to prepare for imminent conflict with England. In response, the Merrimack Valley formed minute companies, stockpiled weapons, ammunition, and supplies, and set up a defense network. 6:30 PM — Exhibits open. 7:00 PM — Presentations begin.

Methuen's Tricentennial Concert
Event CompletedHollywood is Coming to Methuen! This concert – which will feature the Firebird Pops Orchestra – presents iconic movie themes from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter & more. Tenor Peter Mill will add his voice to the movie magic to celebrate Methuen's 300th Birthday.
